RSVP to 410-539-1797 or administration@historicships.org-Tue + Wed, 22+23 September 2009 - Salvage trip to the James River Reserve Fleet in Newport News, VA to find and obtain parts and items needed for restoration of the lightship. - Completed, VERY successful trip!!!

- August 7th - NATIONAL LIGHTHOUSE DAY. By a joint resolution designating this day as “National Lighthouse Day" which was introduced to Congress on April 28, 1988 and signed into public law (No. 100-622) on November 5, 1988 by President Ronald Reagan.
- Saturday 11 July 2009 - Volunteer work day - 9am to 1pm. - Completed. A free 1 hour lecture on board at 2pm. The topic is Lightship Stations of the Chesapeake Bay, 1820 to 1965 and the Lightships assigned.
